Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking a Lead Social Case Worker in the Intake section of Child Welfare Services. You will supervise a team of Social Case Workers, oversee intake investigations for abuse/neglect of children aged 0-18, and coordinate with families, law enforcement, and community partners.

The ideal candidate has experience in child protection within a county-level welfare setting, strong organizational and communication skills, and a Certified Social Case Worker credential in Child

Qualifications

• Experience with child protection services as part of county-level welfare.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume intake environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of training and growth plans for staff at all levels.
• Create systems to manage workload effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Maintain supervisory certification and mentor staff.
• Demonstrate decision-making when handling intake, ongoing, and youth cases.
• Attend family team meetings and court hearings as needed.
