Job summary

Larimer County Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Caseworker Manager in the CYFA Division to supervise Intake Specialists and Administrative Specialists, support Juvenile Justice staff, and oversee child and adult protection referrals during standard business hours with occasional after-hours. This hybrid role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a field related to child welfare social casework or equivalent.
• Master's degree in social work or related field can substitute for one year of experience.
• Valid Driver's License by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect supervision to Intake Specialists handling child protection calls.
• Supervise Administrative Specialists and support Juvenile Justice staff.
• Support juvenile justice workers and after-hours caseworkers.
• Screen child and adult protection referrals for quality assurance and timely response.
• Collaborate with child protection teams, service partners, and other counties.
• Schedule and manage day-to-day shifts of intake specialists.
• Provide crisis management support and after-hours/on-call coverage 1x per month and during holidays.
• Provide mediation and crisis intervention for juveniles and families.
• Support juvenile justice functions.
