Job summary

Larimer County Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Caseworker Manager to supervise Intake Specialists and Administrative Specialists within the CYFA Division. This role includes coaching, training, and coordinating day-to-day operations, with after-hours on-call support as needed.

The position emphasizes leadership, policy knowledge, and strong communication to ensure timely child and adult protection referrals are processed efficiently, with hybrid in-office and remote work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a field related to child welfare social casework supervision.
• Three (3) years of professional, internship, or volunteer work in a human services‑related agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect supervision to intake specialists handling child protection calls.
• Supervise Administrative Specialists and support juvenile justice/After Hours staff as needed.
• Screen referrals for quality assurance and timely response.
• Collaborate with child protection teams, service providers, and other counties.
• Schedule and manage day-to-day shifts of intake staff.
• Support crisis management and after-hours/on-call shifts (1x per month).
• Provide mediation and crisis intervention for juveniles and families.
• Support juvenile justice functions.
