Job summary

U.S. Center for SafeSport in Denver, CO is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support the Response & Resolution team, conducting intake interviews and guiding parties through the center’s resolution process.

The role involves coordinating with law enforcement, handling preliminary inquiries, and preparing documentation while maintaining compliance with SafeSport policies. A bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in misconduct investigations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, sociology, psychology, social/criminal justice, or related field.
• Experience speaking with individuals reporting or accused of misconduct, in a virtual setting.
• Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Experience with case management systems designed for administrative investigations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with interruptions in a remote environment.
• Three years' experience resolving misconduct (emotional, physical, and sexual).

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary inquiry into sexual, physical, and emotional misconduct.
• Interview Claimants, Third-Party Reporters, and witnesses.
• Explain the Center’s Resolution process to involved parties.
• Serve as lead contact for parties, law enforcement, and NGBs during the Preliminary Inquiry.
• Assess need for temporary safety measures and ongoing risk.
• Gather records from law enforcement, court proceedings, and other sources.
• Prepare case resolution memos and notes.
• Train and onboard intake coordinators and external stakeholders.
• Support with special projects and high-volume reviews.
• Participate in committees and wellness groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
