Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in intake or related roles.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word & Excel).
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Insurance.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience working in a call center environment.
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve and think critically.

Responsibilities

• Complete financial clearance for referrals by determining eligibility.
• Process referrals to ensure pre-qualifying of patients efficiently.
• Verify all insurance information (service coverage, co-pays, pre-existing clauses).
• Determine effective/termination dates, plan type, provider network status.
• Ensure timely filing dates and filing requirements are met.
• Analyze admission data and prepare reports.
• Enter patient demographics and benefits into software systems.
• Communicate with referral sources and the team to support partnerships.
• Build positive relationships with insurers, managed care entities, and case managers.
• Obtain complete information to facilitate admissions and reimbursement.
