Job summary

Community and Family Resources in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Intake Specialist to provide initial guidance to clients regarding the agency's fee-for-services, third party payor resources, and payment arrangements for fees.

You will assist with admissions paperwork, discuss payment plans, verify eligibility, and coordinate with providers and billing staff to ensure proper authorization and documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of 42CFR and HIPAA compliance.
• Familiar with grant and contract administration.
• Proficient in basic computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with paperwork for new client admissions.
• Verify Title 19, County, and/or Insurance eligibility and discuss payment plans.
• Inform clients about required documentation for appointments and payments.
• Create and amend computer records and route forms to providers.
