The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas, is hiring a Direct Juvenile Support Worker to provide around-the-clock safety and support for at-risk youth, on a 4 on/3 off schedule with 12-hour day shifts.

You'll help meet physical, personal and health needs through mentoring, monitor behaviors, and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities, while collaborating with staff to implement each youth's treatment plan on the Intake &

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB tests; pass the child/adult abuse registry check.
• Must meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person safety and security around the clock.
• Meet the physical, personal and health needs of youth through mentoring and skill development.
• Monitor and document youth behaviors and activities.
• Participate in educational, social, athletic and recreational activities and collaborate with staff to meet treatment goals.
• Work on the Intake & Assessment Unit to support youth in their plan.

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: $17.75 - $18.82 per hour based on education and experience.Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: A Direct Juvenile Support Worker provides in person safety and security around-the-clock. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. Direct Juvenile Support Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth's needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. Direct Juvenile Support Workers will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan. This specific position will work directly on our Intake & Assessment Unit.

To be considered you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License

Schedule: 4 days on/3 off - 3 days on/4 off

Day Shift:7am - 8pm (12-hour shift * 1 hour break *)
