Requirements include RN with NJ licensure or related licenses, 2+ years in intake within acute psychiatric settings, and strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NJ license.
• 2+ years intake experience in acute psychiatric setting.
• Preferred: RN, LSW, LCSW or LPC Licenses.

Responsibilities

• Lead level of care assessments for psychiatric treatment and chemical dependency patients.
• Provide crisis and supportive contact with patients and families.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of interactions and assessments.
• Coordinate with referral agencies to facilitate step-down/direct transfers to inpatient/outpatient care.
• Coordinate with insurance for authorizations of recommended treatment.
• Handle inquiry calls and referral information with clear communication.
• Complete clerical processes for inpatient admissions.
