Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto, TX, is hiring an Admissions/Intake RN to guide patients and families through the first steps toward care. You will document nursing assessments, evaluate needs, and coordinate with providers and the admissions team to determine next steps.
Requirements include RN license in Texas, three years in a psychiatric setting preferred, CPR certification, CPI training, and familiarity with DSM-IVR and Mental Status Exam. Training may occur during orientation.

The Admissions/Intake RN helps patients and families take the first step toward care at Hickory Trail Hospital. This role conducts and documents nursing assessments, evaluates medical and behavioral health needs, and works with providers and the admissions team to determine the appropriate next steps. The RN also responds to referrals, communicates with patients, families, and referral sources, and helps make each admission safe, timely, and welcoming.
