Qualifications

• Graduate degree in social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the state of Kentucky.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, patient evaluations and information reports.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or community members.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, referrals, and staff over disciplines.
• CPR course completion and HWC within 90 days of employment.

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System’s quality services are provided by psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers. Also, care is given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance use.

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation of requests for services, resource referral, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, and interfaces with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Participates in patient admission procedure, vital signs, obtains lab specimens, assists in patient ADL’s, preps patients for diagnostic exams, checks belongings for contraband, and all patient care procedures.
• Ensures patient safety by identifying and reporting to an RN any overt and covert potential for purposeful and/or accidental self-injury.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of emotional and mental health disease concepts,
• Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
