Job summary

Wooded Glen Recovery Center in Henryville, IN seeks an Intake Coordinator for 2nd shift to manage front-desk duties, triage calls, and pre-registration. You will verify insurance, coordinate with providers, and support admissions to ensure timely intake of clients and families.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation in the CRM, collaboration with treatment teams, and delivering compassionate service. CPR/de-escalation training may be required on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• One+ year experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral processes.
• Outstanding interpersonal and interviewing and assessment skills.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments and interviews clients, family members, and collateral sources.
• Reviews admissions criteria, policies, and procedures for eligibility.
• Engages referral sources for client support and business development.
• Determines appropriate Interventionist and facility, dates, and transportation.
• Documents all activities in the CRM and supports admissions docs.
• Verifies insurance benefits for private admissions and coordinates with insurers.
• Screens referrals and arranges transportation for admission.
• Maintains waiting list and follows up to facilitate admissions.
