Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Colorado is seeking an organized Intake Coordinator to support admissions within the Behavioral Health Support team. This onsite role emphasizes compassionate client contact, accurate documentation, and a smooth transition into care.

The Intake Coordinator will monitor referrals, manage files in Kipu EMR, coordinate travel where needed, and collaborate with Admissions, Clinical, and Facility teams to uphold Joint Commission standards and ensure survey readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in behavioral health, healthcare coordination, or healthcare customer service preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; rapport-building with clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Salesforce for new inquiries and pending admissions requiring onsite intake support.
• Communicate with referral sources, reviewers, and case managers to support admissions workflows.
• Create and maintain potential admission files in the Kipu EMR.
• Upload and track required intake documentation and verification of benefits.
• Assist in obtaining consents, identification, and financial documentation prior to admission.
• Maintain onsite intake tracking tools with bed availability and client summaries.
• Serve as onsite contact for clients, families, visitors, and referral partners.
• Communicate intake steps using trauma-informed, client-centered language.
• Assist with intake calls and screenings as needed.
• Coordinate client travel logistics with BHT supervision.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth, compliant transitions into care.
