Job summary

New Horizons Behavioral Health in Columbus, GA is seeking a licensed social worker or counselor to join our team. The role involves psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and counseling for clients with mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, or addictive diseases.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Salary ranges from $46,350 to $54,590 depending on licensure status, with benefits as provided by the agency.

Qualifications

Works with the following population:

Male and female individuals with a mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases.

Days & Time:

This position will work 40 hours a week. Most programs work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour break.

• Unlicensed - $46,350 per year
• Associate License - $50,470 per year
• Fully licensed - $54,590 per year

Job Duties:

Under general to limited supervision, the candidate will:

• Perform social services functions at an advanced level to individuals and their families.
• Perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning.
• Provide counseling therapy to clients requiring complex intervention.
• Perform commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

You MUST have a master's degree in social work or counseling, and you MUST be license eligible. If you are already licensed (LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT), you MUST be licensed in the state of Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.
