Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center is seeking an Intake Clinician to perform clinical assessment and triage within the Comprehensive Services Center. You will evaluate psychiatric treatment needs, make referrals, and support access to care in the least restrictive setting.

This full-time daytime role requires collaboration across MHRC North and South campuses, with regular hours Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:30pm, and adherence to Baker Act guidelines and consented services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental illness.
• Proficiency in MHRC EHR System within three months of employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet use.
• Valid Florida Registered Intern credential (IMH, ISW, or IMT) or Florida licensure (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential and interactions with internal/external customers must be professional.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial screenings and assessments for CSC services, including crisis intervention.
• Evaluates crisis calls, walk-ins, and referrals using Baker Act criteria and DSM-5 standards to determine service needs.
• Completes and documents screenings, assessments, and all required clinical information per CSC policies.
• Conducts biopsychosocial assessments and develops diagnostic impressions.
• Identifies appropriate service types, frequency, and level of care.
• Develops initial treatment plans and conducts suicide risk assessments.
• Determines and facilitates appropriate level of care and ensures follow-up and continuity of care.
• Maintains confidential clinical records and adheres to Baker Act requirements.
