Job summary

Catholic Community Services, via Tenant Law Center, seeks an Intake Case Manager to connect low-income tenants with timely legal services and housing resources. You will interview clients, screen for issues, and coordinate referrals with attorneys and partners.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work across county networks, including interpreters and community partners, to promote housing stability.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in legal, housing, or social services.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational and data entry skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income and marginalized communities.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, voicemails, emails, and referrals.
• Conduct intake interviews, often with telephonic interpreters.
• Gather housing issue details, eviction notices, and subsidy concerns.
• Identify serious legal issues and follow up questions.
• Screen clients for eligibility and urgent needs.
• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and partners.
• Create and maintain client records in Legal Server and upload docs.
• Review referrals and track status with agencies.
• Communicate with clients via phone, text, or email.
• Provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive service.
• Collaborate in regular case reviews and team meetings.
