Job summary

Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP in San Diego seeks an Intake Attorney to join our fast-paced real estate litigation team. You will work with property owners and managers on landlord-tenant matters and assess eviction viability.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) at the office, with a salary of $95,000-$115,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, and sick time.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active California Bar license required.
• General knowledge of civil litigation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients step-by-step through eviction process
• Provide legal advice through consultations
• Conduct legal research and analysis to identify and assess viability and risks of new cases and to identify legal issues; communicate the same to clients
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices, based on client needs
• Conduct and direct legal document preparation and review, including summons and complaints and stipulations
• Assist with occasional court appearances and client presentations
