Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP in San Diego, CA is seeking an Attorney to join a fast‑paced real estate litigation team. The position requires a J.D. and active California Bar license, with a focus on eviction proceedings and client consultations.

The role is full‑time, on-site, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid vacation and sick time. Remote work is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of civil litigation
• General knowledge of landlord‑tenant legal principles
• Knowledge of the California Civil Code
• Some contact with the rental housing industry

Responsibilities

• Assist clients step‑by‑step through every phase of the eviction process
• Provide legal advice through consultations
• Conduct legal research and analysis to identify and assess the viability and risks of new cases and to identify legal issues; communicate the same to clients
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices, based on client needs
• Conduct and direct legal document preparation and review, including summons, complaints, and stipulations
• Assist with occasional court appearances and client presentations

Schedule

Position is full‑time, 40 hours per week. Business hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday‑Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Friday.

Work must be performed at the office full‑time. Remote candidates are not considered at this time.
