Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to lead intake evaluation for complex personal injury and mass tort matters in a hybrid role based in Phoenix. You will assess case viability, provide attorney-level guidance, and help refine intake processes while collaborating with litigation and leadership teams. Applicants must hold a valid U.S.

bar license and have 2+ years of plaintiffs' personal injury experience. Arizona admission is a plus; Spanish skills are a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Active bar license in any U.S. state.
  • 2+ years of plaintiffs' personal injury, mass tort, or related practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of liability analysis, damages, insurance coverage, and statutes of limitation.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to make sound legal decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with legal technology, CRMs, or intake management systems preferred.
  • Arizona license or willingness to obtain admission is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate prospective personal injury, mass tort, and related claims to determine whether matters should be accepted or declined.
  • Analyze liability, damages, insurance coverage, statutes of limitation, and overall case viability.
  • Serve as the legal resource for a high-volume intake team by providing guidance on legal issues and screening criteria.
  • Review complex or sensitive matters requiring attorney-level judgment and compassionate client communication.
  • Help develop and improve intake procedures, qualification standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout the intake process, including retainers, authorizations, and ethical requirements.
  • Collaborate with litigation, marketing, and leadership teams to align intake decisions with firm strategy.
  • Assist with training intake staff and improving overall case quality and conversion.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid position based in Phoenix, Arizona, offering the flexibility of working both in the office and remotely while remaining closely connected with an experienced legal team.
