Job summary

Grow Through Life Counseling seeks an Insurance Verification Specialist to join the Support Team. You will ensure accurate submission of claims, follow up with patients and insurers, and assist clinical billing needs.

The role supports a clinician-led practice serving California families, with a focus on timely revenue cycles. This full-time, in-person position offers benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit completed claims through TherapyNotes
• Daily collections of patient responsibility balances
• Process incoming ERAs; review insurance payments for accuracy
• Call insurance companies regarding payment discrepancies and unresolved claims
• Answer patient and insurance communications (phone, email, mail, fax)
• Verify client insurance eligibility and benefits for copays/deductibles
• Coordinate authorizations with Tricare when applicable
• Set up patient payments and manage outstanding accounts
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain client care
• Promote a positive, inclusive team culture
• Perform additional duties as needed
