Spine Team Texas is seeking an Eligibility Coordinator at our Southlake, TX location. Responsibilities

  • Obtain benefit information for all new patients and established patients that have not had insurance verification within 90 days, and perform this task in a timely manner and as required.
  • Document all pertinent information and necessary communication in the Patient Registration and "Insurance Eligibility" box and patient alert notes of registration.
  • Communicate closely with the Scheduling Coordinators for East and West locations and the Patient Service Associates in each clinic when stat verifications arise or information is lacking from the patient to complete the verification process.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Patient Financial Services Manager.

Job Summary

The Spine Team Texas Eligibility Coordinators are responsible for obtaining benefit information for all new patients and established patients that have not had insurance verification within 90 days, in a timely manner and as required. The position will provide support to the Precertification Specialist when necessary and the collection team to obtain proof of insurance requirements necessary to obtain payment for claims. The position will also assist the business office team on an as needed basis. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas. The Eligibility Coordinator reports directly to the Patient Financial Services Manager who is under the direction of the Business Office Director.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Must be able to sit for long periods of time in a well-lit, air conditioned office environment. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds. Must be able to work under pressure. Tasks involve no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
