Atlantic Health System is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist to join our Morristown, NJ team. The role liaises with external insurance companies and internal departments to confirm patient eligibility, collect required financial data, and obtain initial and ongoing authorizations as needed.

Responsibilities include timely communication with CAC and Clinical Teams, Epic documentation, and ensuring accurate payer information throughout the patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Experience/knowledge in obtaining authorizations and familiarity with insurance verification is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Function as a liaison between external Insurance Companies and internal staff to ensure patient needs are met.
• Notify internal staff when patient updates are required.
• Communicates with CAC & Clinical Teams to ensure required financial information is available to review with patient.
• Obtain timely initial precertification and authorization for initial services when required.
• Document all verification and authorization information in Epic to ensure accuracy and timely notification.
