Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an entry-level Underwriter Development Associate in Metairie, LA. The role focuses on building foundational knowledge across account management, inside sales, brokerage, and underwriting, with hands-on exposure to core insurance functions.

You will learn and support new and renewal business activities, develop client relationships, and collaborate with carriers and internal teams to learn the placement process while ensuring timely, accurate work and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in account management and client support.
• Ability to learn coverage concepts and workflows in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support new and renewal business activities (soliciting, marketing, quoting, binding, confirming coverage).
• Develop foundational skills in account management and client relationships.
• Support placement process with carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze client needs to help develop coverage strategies.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and comply with company standards.
