EY in the United States seeks an experienced insurance technology consultant to transform business problems into technology solutions. You will work with clients on architecture, data, and implementation plans, guiding claims, underwriting, policy, and billing programs.

The role requires strong business analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and leadership across teams, with flexibility for travel and a focus on delivering risk-mitigated outcomes for financial services clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Industrial Administration, Business or a related field and 5+ years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience defining business and technical requirements
3+ years of relevant experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to property and casualty insurance carriers on personal or commercial lines of businesses
2+ years of experience managing and supervising a team of business analysts and technology analysts through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing
Previous application experience in Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen/EIS, Majesco, Duck Creek, Insurity, Sapiens/Adaptik, FirstBest, Business Objects, Cognos, Informatica
Proficiency in system and vendor selection and implementation; definition of business and technical requirements; design of business and technology architecture; business intelligence/decision support; PMO; strong experience in either internal/external business analysis; experience with Agile SCRUM and BA methodologies
Knowledge of software engineering methodologies, reporting tools, process flows, data flows, traceability matrices, modeling and testing strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations
Ability to form relationships with business stakeholders and SMEs and help them envision the future state and the change needed to facilitate it
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking through researching client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations and new technologies
Travel to client site as necessary
Experience with management reporting enhancement, BI/decision support, data warehousing/enterprise data design and EAI

Responsibilities

The goal is to support clients' efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in remediation and mitigation of process risk.
You will assist engagement teams through analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, infrastructure design, vendor selection and implementation plans.
