Job summary

Meier Insurance Agency is seeking an entry-level Sales Representative to join an insurance agent team in a full-time, in-person role. You’ll support growth through client-focused service, reporting, and collaboration with a Sales Manager.

The position emphasizes training, licensing support, and a fast track to leadership in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with a flexible schedule and opportunities for commissions and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, programs, and regulations.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.
• Superb communicator with ability to analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; customer service experience is beneficial.
• Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license.

Responsibilities

• Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other tools to report progress toward monthly sales goals.
• Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer's needs.
• Stay updated on rules/policies to amend insurance programs for clients.
• Implement marketing strategies including cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while maintaining a portfolio of current clients.
• Conduct meetings with new and potential clients to present best policies.
