Job summary

Meier Insurance Agency is seeking an entry-level Sales Representative to join our insurance agent team and grow with us. The role focuses on learning and driving insurance sales with a friendly, customer-service mindset.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills and a willingness to learn about insurance programs and regulations. Training will be provided, and license support is available.

Qualifications

• Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, programs, and regulations.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Must be a superb communicator with customer service experience beneficial.
• Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license.

Responsibilities

• Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other tools to report progress toward monthly sales goals.
• Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer's needs.
• Stay abreast of changes to rules or policies to amend insurance programs for clients.
• Implement marketing strategies including cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while maintaining current clients.
• Conduct meetings with new and potential clients to present best insurance policies.
