Job summary

A‑MAX Insurance in McAllen, TX is seeking motivated individuals for an in‑office Insurance Sales Agent role. You will help customers with new policies, edits, renewals, and payments, while building a rewarding career in a fast‑growing company.

We offer hourly pay plus uncapped commissions, paid weekly, plus benefits, PTO, and licensing support. Bilingual applicants are welcome; a Texas Property & Casualty license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service/insurance sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• TX Limited Lines or P&C license in Texas preferred.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn company software.
• Continued education to maintain active license status with TDI.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs: new policies, edits, renewals, payments, and questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess risk based on condition and other factors.
• Develop clientele through networking and marketing, with office manager help.
• Handle policy renewals and communicate with underwriting to complete policies.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and organizational tasks.
