Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency in Middlebury, CT is seeking an Insurance Sales Associate to support a sales agent in profitable growth through new business sales and customer retention. You will be the initial contact, listening empathetically and building local relationships in the community.

This is not a remote position. The role includes licensing training and support for Property & Casualty and Life, with opportunities to contribute to marketing and cross-selling efforts while meeting monthly

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant sales experience preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle objections and educate customers in a consultative manner.
• Self-starter, motivated to learn and grow in sales.
• Professional business acumen with strong presence and confidence.
• Willingness to earn an insurance license (P&C and Life) with training and support.

Responsibilities

• Utilize consultative sales techniques to prospect and initiate new business sales.
• Assist in processing new business, including contacting customers to finalize sales and service transactions.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities for the Sales Agent.
• Contribute to and execute marketing plans with the Sales Agent.
• Identify mass marketing prospects through existing book of business and community prospecting.
• Meet monthly goals for new business sales.
• Complete follow-ups on new policies to maintain high retention and capitalize on cross-selling.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure quality customer service.
• Act as initial contact addressing customer concerns regarding policy establishment and new account status.
• Unlicensed candidates will be enrolled in a licensing training program with costs covered.
