Job summary

Security First Insurance seeks an In-House Insurance Sales Associate to promote and sell our insurance products, identify client needs, and provide tailored solutions based on their requirements. The role focuses on new business conversion and retention for in-house agency and strategic partners.

Focuses on submitting new business quotes, coordinating calls, processing web quotes, and supporting partners with lead conversion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Florida property and casualty license or ability to obtain within 90 days may be required.

Responsibilities

• Submit new business quotes and applications within carrier guidelines.
• Pre-qualify new business applicants based on underwriting guidelines.
• Advise customers on coverage, options, and endorsements.
• Maintain agency file documentation to support risk selection and eligibility.
• Assist customers with endorsements, coverage changes, and inquiries.
• Identify and manage risks related to business activities.
• Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Maintain customer service orientation and positive company image.

Focuses on new business conversion and retention for in-house agency and strategic partners. Coordinates new business sales calls, processes web-generated quotes and assists strategic partners with lead conversion from diverse sources.

• Essential Job Functions:
• Submits new business quotes and applications within carrier eligibility guidelines; completes documentation requirements in compliance with each carrier's guidelines
• Pre-qualifies new business applicants based on carrier eligibility and underwriting guidelines
• Provides professional guidance to agency customers on coverage, options, and endorsements
• Requests and maintains appropriate agency file documentation to support risk selection and eligibility
• Assists customers with endorsements, coverage changes, and inquiries regarding their policy
• Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks related to business activities
• Ensures effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and management of risks
• Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures
• Maintains a customer service orientation and positive image of the Company

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in a related field
• OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience

Certifications And Licenses

• May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver’s license
• Florida property and casualty (P&C) 440 license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
