Job summary

Macy's seeks a Director, Insurance & Risk to lead the strategic management of our enterprise insurance programs, risk financing, captive operations, and claims governance. You will align total cost of risk with business objectives and drive cost efficiency across the organization.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, and external partners to optimize risk transfer, oversight, and KPI-driven programs that protect assets and reduce losses enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field; CRM preferred.
• 10+ years of risk and insurance experience in a large corporate enterprise.
• Proven leadership and ability to influence senior executives.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise insurance programs across multiple coverages.
• Oversee captive insurance structure and risk financing strategies.
• Develop TCOR analyses and present recommendations to leadership.
• Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and external partners.
