Job summary

U.S. News & World Report is seeking a skilled Product Manager for the Insurance division to shape and manage a strategic roadmap.

You will partner with the Director of Product Management, oversee existing products, and define new features driven by customer insights and market research. You will collaborate across Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, and Compliance to deliver high-quality outcomes while measuring user engagement and business impact.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of product management experience, preferably in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Empathy and user-centered mindset.
• Detail-oriented, organized with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Be a thought partner and collaborator with the Director of Product Management for the Insurance division.
• Contribute to creating and managing a strategic roadmap balancing user needs, business goals and company objectives.
• Help oversee existing products and define new features based on consumer feedback and validating customer use cases.
• Identify when adjustments are needed and iterate quickly and efficiently.
• Manage multiple streams of discovery and decide when to test quickly vs precisely.
• Contribute to user journeys through primary and secondary market research.
• Ensure product requirements are thorough, testable, and visually successful.
• Measure results for consumer/customer success metrics working with Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, Compliance, and other teams.
