Job summary

Accredited is seeking a Product Development Manager in New York to lead the design, implementation, and governance of insurance products across commercial and personal lines. You will work with underwriting, actuarial, claims, compliance, operations, and technology to ensure regulatory alignment and effective product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk/insurance, actuarial science, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial P&C product management or related insurance roles.
• Experience in multi-line commercial and personal P&C insurance.
• Strong knowledge of the product lifecycle, ISO/AAIS forms and rules, and state filing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, and Compliance to develop and implement insurance products and program offerings across multiple commercial and personal lines.
• Review ISO/AAIS Circulars, bureau updates, and regulatory bulletins to evaluate impacts and coordinate required product changes with Compliance.
• Draft policy forms, endorsements, applications, underwriting guidelines, eligibility rules, rating methodologies, and product documentation for regulatory review.
• Partner with Underwriting and Claims to identify trends and translate lessons into product improvements; update policy language accordingly.
• Coordinate with Claims, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance to ensure policy changes address issues while supporting regulatory compliance and strategy.
• Develop and maintain admitted product materials for regulatory filings and govern the forms library with version control and accessibility.
• Oversee onboarding of new programs and manage product lifecycle considering performance, profitability, and market conditions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, risk/insurance, actuarial science, finance, or related field

7+ years in commercial P&C product management

Multi-line commercial and personal P&C insurance

Strong knowledge of ISO/AAIS forms and rules

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Ability to work a hybrid schedule in New York
