Job summary

New York Life is seeking an Insurance Portfolio Manager in New York, NY. TheHybrid-4-days-per-week role focuses on leading investment strategy, asset allocation, and ALM for the General Account portfolio, partnering with GAPM and stakeholders to align with pricing and growth objectives.

You will drive investment program development, engage with executives, and ensure alignment with policy and risk appetite while advancing financial performance and resilience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in insurance or asset-intensive financial services
• Deep knowledge of insurance assets and liabilities and capital markets
• Experience presenting investment recommendations and portfolio strategy to executive leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or similar field; professional credentials preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary investment contact and thought partner for the insurance businesses
• Lead development of investment strategies and long-term asset allocation targets
• Partner with GAPM to manage asset liability management positioning for product lines
• Develop annual investment program for pricing, financial planning, and ALM
• Lead quarterly asset liability committee meetings with executives and finance leaders
