Job summary

Townsend Insurance Group in Danvers, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented Personal and Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a growing book of business across MA, NH, ME, and CT.

Responsibilities include managing accounts, responding to client inquiries, reviewing policies for proper coverage, and collaborating with producers on new business, quotes, bindings, and onboarding. In-office hours are 9:00am–5:00pm, salary $60,000–$75,000.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of insurance industry experience preferred.
• Active P&C license required.
• Proficient with Windows programs (Outlook/Word/Excel).

• Manage a book of personal and commercial lines accounts with strong client relationships.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and service requests to ensure high satisfaction.
• Review exposures and policies to ensure proper coverage with updates and changes.
• Collaborate with producers for new business including quoting, binding, onboarding.

We're a growing independent agency on the North Shore seeking a detail-oriented Personal and Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a book of business across Massachusetts, with additional accounts in New Hampshire, Maine, and Connecticut.

Position: Personal and Commercial Lines Account Manager

Pay: $60,000 to $75,000 Salary

Pay type: Exempt

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a book of personal and commercial lines accounts, maintaining strong client relationships through consistent, responsive service
• Respond promptly to client inquiries, service requests, and issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
• Review client exposures and existing policies to ensure appropriate coverage while handling frequent policy updates and changes
• Partner with producers to support new business activity, including quoting, binding, and onboarding of new accounts
• Provide timely, accurate day-to-day service, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and service standards
• Monitor carrier turnaround times and follow up on policies, endorsements, and claims to ensure efficient processing
• Perform regular account reviews with a focus on retention, coverage accuracy, and cross-selling opportunities

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior insurance industry experience preferred
• High school diploma or the recognized equivalent, required
• Must have an active P and C License
• Proficient in the use of Windows programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
