Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Paralegal or litigation/claim experience.
• Insurance related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF Software.
• Advanced interpersonal and writing skills.
• Knowledge of general law office procedures and local rules.
• Proficiency with case management systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and drafts legal documents for review by attorneys.
• Prepares initial pleadings and filings.
• Prepares exhibits and other demonstrative evidence.
• Coordinates requests between parties in litigation.
• Subpoenas records.
• Conducts preliminary legal research as needed.
• Assists attorney in trial as needed.
• Tracks time and bills accordingly.
• Reviews incoming mail and drafts correspondence.
• Schedules depositions and court appearances.
• Maintains attorney calendar and diary dates.
• Inputs information into case management system.
