Job summary

AXIS Capital in Princeton, NJ, seeks a Senior Product Owner to drive transformation and optimize AXIS Global Operations. You will define the product vision, translate requirements into user stories, and manage a cross-functional backlog to deliver value in Agile delivery teams.

You will lead sprint planning and report metrics, with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, and aligning with AXIS strategy. This role is based in a hybrid work environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Insurance experience with at least 3 years as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
• Background in Operations transformation and insurance systems integration.
• Knowledge of P&C Commercial and Specialty lines (North American/global).
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a product vision and roadmap aligned with AXIS strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Lead operational readiness for product launches, ensuring systems and processes are aligned.
• Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for agile delivery teams.
• Manage and prioritize the Operations product backlog to focus on high-impact initiatives.
• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups with delivery teams.
• Track and report Agile delivery metrics to monitor team performance and product impact.
• Champion Agile principles and coach team members on best practices and continuous improvement.
• Ensure user feedback is continuously gathered and integrated into product iterations.
• Empower cross-functional teams to make decisions and deliver value independently.
• Use Agile tools to manage backlogs, track progress, and communicate priorities.
