Job summary

The Iowa Insurance Division is seeking an experienced Investigator for its Market Regulation Bureau to protect consumers by investigating and enforcing Iowa insurance and financial security statutes and regulations. The role focuses on regulatory investigations of licensed individuals and business entities.

Applicants should have progressive experience in insurance investigations, regulatory compliance, or financial crime investigation, and a strong understanding of state regulatory

Qualifications

• Jurisdictional knowledge of insurance regulation and consumer protection laws.
• Ability to analyze complex business conduct and statutes.
• Experience with investigative reporting and case preparation.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead investigations into potential violations of state insurance laws.
• Direct investigations on regulated parties such as producers, adjusters, appraisers, and other entities.
• Review and analyze consumer complaints related to regulated individuals and companies.
• Work with investigators and analysts to support investigations and prosecutions.
