Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience; law degree a plus.
• Strong knowledge of liability claims handling, case law, statutes and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for insureds, claimants, underwriters and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Proactively handle general liability claims (property damage and bodily injury) to achieve optimum payout results.
• Assess and analyze coverage issues and issue coverage letters.
• Complete timely investigations and post appropriate reserves.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including indemnity issues.
• Handle claims in accordance with RLI's Best Practices.
• Resolve claims in a timely and effective manner.
