Job summary

The Hilb Group, LLC is offering an internship in Columbia, SC, where you will work with the Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits teams on a variety of operational tasks and client service activities. You will shadow Account Managers and Producers, learn the agency management system, and support renewal meetings and materials preparation.

You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and be willing to travel to our Richmond, VA corporate office for networking and events.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to our Columbia, SC office.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits teams across a wide range of operational activities with professionalism.
• Learn our agency management system and shadow Account Managers and Producers.
• Support the front-line service team by assisting with daily administrative and client-service tasks.
• Attend client renewal meetings and support preparation of materials.
