Job summary

The Hilb Group internship program in North Carolina and South Carolina offers hands-on learning with the Employee Benefits team. You’ll assist with daily operations, learn the agency management system, and shadow Account Managers and Producers while contributing to client-service tasks.

Designed for students, the program emphasizes professional growth, networking with company leaders, and possible full-time opportunities after graduation. Travel to Richmond, VA is included.

Qualifications

• Must commute to our North Carolina or South Carolina offices.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support the Employee Benefits team across a wide range of operational activities with professionalism.
• Learn our agency management system and shadow Account Managers and Producers.
• Support the front-line service team by assisting with daily administrative and client-service tasks.
• Attend client renewal meetings and support preparation of materials.
• Travel to our Richmond, VA corporate office for intern networking and events.
