Job summary

The Hilb Group offers students an internship to explore various career paths within a growing insurance brokerage. Interns gain hands-on learning experiences, work with Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits teams, and contribute to client-service initiatives while developing professional skills.

You will have the opportunity to travel to our corporate office in Richmond, VA, network with leaders, and participate in a volunteer event.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to our Columbia, SC office.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits teams across a wide range of operational activities with professionalism.
• Learn our agency management system and shadow Account Managers and Producers.
• Support the front-line service team by assisting with daily administrative and client-service tasks.
• Attend client renewal meetings and support preparation of materials
