Job description

As the parent company, ARMStrong owns and operates Altus Receivables Management, Brown & Joseph, Paragon, SubroIQ, and NEIS, each specializing in debt management and financial services.

NEIS, LLC has been a leader in insurance audit and loss control prevention since 1945 and is seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team. The Premium Auditor examines the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Responsibilities include looking for evidence of fraud and verifying adherence to regulations. The role is based from home with required daily travel to audit locations, averaging 2-4 days per week within your territory.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by examining policyholder records and applying manual rules and standards.
  2. Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and records.
  3. Create schedules to optimize time management.
  4. Communicate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to set up appointments.
  5. Examine records, gather data, determine correct classifications, and describe operations.
  6. Complete audit documentation, explain results to insured, and communicate findings to the home office.
  7. Travel to multiple audit locations regularly.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus two years of premium audit experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and staff.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage options.
  • Generous paid time off and 7 paid holidays.
  • Salary for experienced auditors is $46.00 - $48.00 per billable hour.
  • Inexperienced auditors receive a weekly stipend of up to $750 during training, plus mileage and bonuses; post-training pay shifts to production-based, typically $44-46 per billable hour.
  • Weekly pay schedule.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching and immediate vesting.
