Advatix, Inc. is seeking a Litigation Associate – Insurance Defense in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The role requires at least 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience, handling matters from inception to resolution and drafting sophisticated documents.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and good-standing membership with the Georgia Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, or a closely related practice.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, legal memoranda, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Review discovery, medical records, expert reports, contracts, and insurance policies.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness prep, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Assist with appellate matters when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Manage multiple active matters with calendars, deadlines, and case files.
• Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and potential outcomes.
• Provide timely updates and recommendations on litigation strategy.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
