Job summary

Adler Pollock & Sheehan PC in Providence (RI) or Boston (MA) seeks a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience focusing on insurance defense. The role requires strong writing, research, and the ability to independently manage all litigation phases, with potential remote work if based in Connecticut.

The attorney will handle discovery, depositions, motions, court appearances, and trial preparation while coordinating with senior attorneys and clients on defense strategy

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required.
• Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island Bar admission strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience focused on insurance defense.
• Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including case analysis, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Manage client communications, including reporting on case strategy, developments, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective defense strategies.
• Stay current on relevant case law, statutes, and insurance defense trends to ensure compliance and strategic advantage.
