Job summary

Travelers Insurance in Florida is seeking a Counsel to handle a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity, from inception through trial and appeal. You will apply litigation skills, perform legal research, draft pleadings, and advise insured clients and claim partners to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will manage court appearances, depositions, and related proceedings, travel as needed, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver exceptional service while upholding Travelers'

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent international law degree.
• Active license to practice law in the state(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of low to moderate complexity from inception through trial/hearing & appeal.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and related documents.
• Conduct legal research and persuasive writing and oral advocacy.
• Attend court events, depositions and other appointments independently.
• Provide case analysis and recommendations to insured clients and claim partners on file handling strategies.
