What You'll Do

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, legal briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability and damages exposure.
• Handle discovery, motion practice, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.

Ideal Candidate

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 2+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and motion practice.
• Experience with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$170,000 – $220,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
