Job summary

Jobot seeks a dynamic Permanent Insurance Defense Attorney to join our defense team. The role defends insurance companies in claims and suits, handling depositions, motions, and mediations in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a JD, be admitted to the state bar, and bring 5+ years of insurance defense experience with excellent written and oral communication skills. This is a hybrid position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurance companies in defense against claims and suits.
• Conduct thorough legal research for case proceedings.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
• Develop and implement strategic defense plans for cases.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
• Stay updated on laws and industry trends in insurance defense.
• Manage a heavy caseload while maintaining high-quality work.
• Participate in firm marketing and client development activities.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Insurance Defense Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team that defends insurance companies against claims and suits. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of insurance defense and will have a proven track record of successfully representing clients in depositions, motions, and mediation. The candidate should be adept at managing a heavy caseload and be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

1. Represent insurance companies in defense against claims and suits.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to prepare for case proceedings.
3. Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
4. Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
5. Develop and implement a strategic defense plan for each case.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
7. Provide legal advice to clients regarding potential exposure and potential risks.
8. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to insurance defense.
9. Manage and prioritize a heavy caseload while maintaining high-quality work.
10. Participate in firm marketing and client development activities.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
4. Proven experience in depositions, motions, and mediation.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
9. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
11. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
12. Proven track record of achieving favorable case outcomes for clients.
