Permanent Insurance Defense Associate Attorney - working remotely for a high-profile legal firm that specializes in insurance defense. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including civil litigation, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, auto accident liability, construction liability, and institutional liability. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is ready to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through trial preparation.
• Developing strategies to effectively represent our clients in complex litigation matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conducting and defending depositions.
• Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in insurance law and related areas.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in insurance defense, specifically in civil litigation, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, auto accident liability, construction liability, and institutional liability.
• Active member of the state Bar in good standing.
• Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle a large volume of cases.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
