Our firm is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Insurance Defense Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry. The successful candidate will primarily handle litigation and other legal assignments related to insurance defense. This role requires a solid understanding of insurance law, litigation, and commercial litigation, and the ability to handle complex cases from inception to resolution, whether by dismissal, settlement, or trial. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals in a high-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including depositions, arbitrations, trials, and mediations.
• Research complex legal matters, prepare legal briefs, memoranda, and pleadings, and appear in court to argue on behalf of the client.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding all aspects of insurance defense law.
• Develop and implement defense strategies, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court to obtain favorable resolutions.
• Stay current on legal rulings and changes in insurance law to provide the most effective advice and defense.
• Collaborate with legal team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance law, litigation, and commercial litigation.
• Proven experience as an insurance defense attorney.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
• Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
