Job Overview:
A dynamic and innovative law firm is seeking experienced insurance defense attorneys to join its growing team. The firm offers a remote or hybrid work environment, providing flexibility while allowing attorneys to engage in diverse and impactful cases across Florida. This opportunity allows attorneys to work in various practice areas, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking/Maintenance of Traffic. Attorneys will benefit from a supportive infrastructure that includes training, mentoring, and opportunities for career development, along with the freedom to work from any location.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle insurance defense cases in various practice areas including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking.
  • Explore and implement early resolution strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case progress.
  • Participate in trial preparation, including motions, case management, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to develop case strategies and early resolution opportunities.
  • Participate in training, mentoring, and roundtable discussions aimed at improving legal skills.
  • Utilize technology and case management systems to ensure efficient and effective case handling.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and build a professional network with the assistance of the firm's Client Development team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
  • Proven experience in areas such as General Liability, Bodily Injury, First Party Property, and related practice areas.
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational, time management, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Comfortable using case management systems and other technology to streamline workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards in billing practices.
  • A proactive approach to case handling, with a focus on achieving early resolution when possible.
  • Knowledge of AIM/Perfect Law is a plus.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Florida Bar.

  • Expertise in insurance defense litigation and case management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
