Insurance Defense Attorney Position - Ontario, CA (Remote)
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team in Ontario, CA. This full-time, remote role focuses on defending personal injury claims, including complex and questionable matters (SIU). The ideal candidate will have 5-20 years of experience in personal injury defense, capable of managing caseloads, conducting depositions, working with experts, and preparing for trial. Opportunities for second and first chair trial experiences are available for motivated individuals.
Duties
- Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters independently, including reviewing case files and discovery.
- Take and defend depositions, including those of expert witnesses.
- Coordinate with paralegals to obtain, review, and summarize medical records.
- Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Retain and consult with expert witnesses to develop case strategies.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda as needed.
- Prepare trial documents and assist in trial preparation.
- Attend court hearings and report case progress to clients.
- Collaborate with team members and support staff for effective case management.
- Potential for second and first chair trial opportunities based on experience and interest.
Requirements
- 5-20 years of experience in personal injury or insurance defense law.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- Experience with insurance defense, depositions, and trial preparations.

Education
